Inspection requirements vary by part

Fixed automation struggles when product variety, part geometry, and inspection conditions keep changing.

01

Inspection across thousands of SKUs

Many part types, each with its own inspection requirements.

02

Low-volume, high-mix

Frequent product changes make repeated setup costly.

03

Complex geometries

A fixed camera cannot see every surface, inner wall, or area hidden by a gripper.

Inspection workflow for changing parts

  1. 01

    Understand the part

Identify the part, its geometry, and the inspection requirements.

  2. 02

    Position and illuminate

Rotate and regrasp the part, adjust viewpoints, and change lighting to reveal surfaces.

  3. 03

    Analyze defects

Use magnified vision and custom defect models to examine fine machining defects.

  4. 04

    Verify and reuse

Record results and retain repeated steps as reusable inspection routines.

Workcell integration and validation

Define inspection standards, integrate robots and sensors, learn the task, and validate quality, speed, reliability, and cost per part. Ongoing support covers operation and adaptation to new parts.
